Dr. Klayton
Dr. Joan Klayton is a board certified orthodontist who graduated in the top ten percent of her class from Temple University of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. After four years of general practice in Philadelphia & South Jersey, Dr. Klayton found that her passion was to create beautiful smiles from the ground up so to speak and she returned to school to complete the orthodontic specialty program at UMDNJ. She has been awarded the coveted Fellowship (FAGD) in the Academy of General Dentistry, an achievement of which only 14 orthodontists had attained worldwide.
Dr. Klayton grew up in Ocean Township, NJ. She is actively involved with dog rescue, finding forever homes for shelter dogs. She loves aerobic step classes, hiking, snow and water skiing, sailing, racket ball, roller blading, riding horses and even dabbled in trapeze.
Her caring, warmth and gentle touch along with her love of orthodontics make the orthodontic experience special for all patients, both young and old.
